Soccer Recap: Statesville vs. Foard
Statesville kept a clean sheet against Foard on Thursday. They skirted past the Foard Tigers 1-0. The Greyhounds' winning goal came courtesy of Marcoos Velez.
The win made it two in a row for Statesville and bumps their season record up to 3-7-1. As for Foard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Statesville will head out to take on North Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Statesville's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Foard, they will venture away from home to square off against North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both are at an even 3-3-2 against one another since October of 2018, but likely not for long.
