Las Animas not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 25, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Manzanola Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Las Animas took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-11.

Las Animas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mayela Magana, who had 12 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Johanna Alvarado, who had seven digs and one block.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Manzanola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Las Animas will be playing at home against Holly at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manzanola, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Primero on the 5th.
