Soccer Game Preview: Bruton vs. York

Bruton is 1-7-1 against York since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Bruton will be strutting in after a victory while York will be coming in after a loss.

Bruton will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Tabb, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers beat the Tigers by a goal, winning 2-1. The win continues a trend for Bruton in their matchups with Tabb: they've now won three in a row.

Mason Crow and Tim Walson scored both of Bruton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, York was not quite Lafayette's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. York haven't had much luck with Lafayette recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

York's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Bruton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Bruton was able to grind out a solid win over York when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
