Softball Recap: Logan Finds Playoff Glory Versus Crimson Cliffs

It's playoff time, and Logan had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Thursday, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

Not much got past Cambree Cooper, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Crimson Cliffs off the board. Cooper has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Logan's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Boyer, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Logan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-12. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Crimson Cliffs, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Logan beat the Mustangs by a score of 3-1 later that day.
