Goddard had won seven straight games and Viviana Varela did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Rockets blew past the Hobbs Eagles 3-0 for which the team can thank Varela, who had 13 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-17.

Goddard's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Hobbs, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Goddard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Los Alamos on the 3rd. As for Hobbs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lovington on the 7th.
