Collinsville has gone 7-1-1 against Valley Head recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m.

Collinsville's tournament run continued when they took on North Jackson on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 9-8. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Valley Head won against Coosa Christian on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Conquerors 5-4. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Adleigh Lockett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Raegan Key, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 13 games. Lexi Coffman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Valley Head's victory bumped their record up to 10-19-2. As for Collinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1.

Collinsville skirted past Valley Head 12-10 in their previous meeting last Saturday. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
