Basketball Recap: Julian Fuentes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pacifica over Yorba Linda

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Yorba Linda Mustangs, falling 82-57. While losing is never fun, the Tritons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 688th, while the Mustangs are ranked 164th).

Pacifica lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Julian Fuentes, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Dillon, who had nine points.

Pacifica's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Yorba Linda, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Pacifica has already played their next contest, a 79-67 win against Righetti on the 30th. As for Yorba Linda, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-70 victory against Villa Park on the 3rd.
