Baseball Recap: Weed Comes Up Short

Weed was the 4-1 winner over Mt. Shasta when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars lost 12-4 to the Bears on Friday.

Weed saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Bowles, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Weed's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mt. Shasta, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Coming up, Weed will venture away from home to take on Etna at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt. Shasta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maxwell at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
