Baseball Recap: Jones Starts Season with Win at Home

Jones took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the ITW David Speer Academy Pride an 11-0 shutout.

Gio Delgado looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ellis Alexander, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Madden Asbaty, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
