Softball Recap: Ariton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Samson on Saturday, Ariton came back down to earth. The Purple Cats fell just short of the Slocomb Red Tops by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Purple Cats have struggled against the Red Tops recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Ariton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Slocomb, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Ariton has already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Brantley on the 9th. As for Slocomb, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 defeat against Kinston on the 7th.
