The Lab University Prep Lab Rats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against United Faith Christian Academy, falling 74-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lab University Prep has scored all season.
Lab University Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makayla Minshall , who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Dumler, who scored nine points.
Lab University Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for United Faith Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Lab University Prep is on the road again on Saturday and play against Northside Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on December 30th. Hopefully Northside Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. United Faith Christian Academy will finish 2023 at home by hosting Hickory Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hickory Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than United Faith Christian Academy in North Carolina (Hickory Ridge is ranked 73rd, while United Faith Christian Academy is ranked 219th).
