Gateway College Preparatory got themselves on the board against Anderson-Shiro on Thursday, but Anderson-Shiro never followed suit. They came out on top against the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls by a score of 4-0. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Gators this season.

The win made it two in a row for Gateway College Preparatory and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson-Shiro, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Coming up, Gateway College Preparatory will take on Little River Academy in a tournament on Friday. As for Anderson-Shiro, they will be taking part in a tournament against Corrigan-Camden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
