Softball Game Preview: Hillcrest Knights vs. Idaho Falls Tigers

For the second straight game, Hillcrest will face off against Idaho Falls. The Knights will take on the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillcrest has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Hillcrest came up short against Idaho Falls and fell 11-7. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

For Idaho Falls' part, Eden Thompson was a standout: she scored a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits Thompson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tabria Orgill, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Thompson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Idaho Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Idaho Falls, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.
