Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Avon). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Geneva Panthers 57-17. The Braves pushed the score to 53-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Avon found their leader in sophomore Payton Rice, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on her way to 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rice has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maria Geary, who posted 13 points in addition to five assists and five steals.
