Softball Recap: Middle Tennessee Christian Victorious

Middle Tennessee Christian's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Providence Christian Academy LIONS get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on April 3rd.

Not much got past Kodi Hewitt, who gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Providence Christian Academy off the board. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Hewitt.

On the hitting side, Riley Osborne was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Middle Tennessee Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Providence Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Middle Tennessee Christian will host Christ Presbyterian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Providence Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
