Basketball Game Preview: Thomas Nelson Generals vs. Washington County Commanders

The Thomas Nelson Generals and the Washington County Commanders, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses apiece.

Last Sunday, Thomas Nelson ended up a good deal behind Scott County and lost 47-28. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Washington County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Monday as they fell 46-40 to Ohio County.

Thomas Nelson's record now sits at 2-8. As for Washington County, their record is now 0-8.

Thomas Nelson beat Washington County 52-42 in their previous meeting back in January. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Commanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
