League recap: Upper St. Clair tops Penn Hills to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in WPIAL AAAA Southeastern this week, Upper St. Clair beat Penn Hills 35-0,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Panthers.

Baldwin scaled the state rankings by moving to 126 from 174 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Highlanders were able to move up by beating Mt. Lebanon 20-19.

The Indians' dynamic duo of BILL KISNER and MICHAEL ANTHONY proved to be unstoppable against Upper St. Clair, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. KISNER threw for 108 yards and ANTHONY had 58 yards receiving.

Penn Hills' dynamic duo of KISNER and ANTHONY proved tough for Jim Render's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

KISNER put up the best numbers in passing as John Peterman's team lost to the Panthers.

ANTHONY was the best receiver in the league this week as the Indians lost to Upper St. Clair.

Trevor Morrow was the best running back in WPIAL AAAA Southeastern this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 114 yards as the Panthers lost to the Panthers. Marcus Galie also contributed to the rushing game with 59 yards on the ground.

Upper St. Clair's 6-foot-3 quarterback Joe Repischak is the league leader in passing yards this season with 378. The leading receiver in the league this season is Troy Apke. The Mt. Lebanon star has 12 catches for 153 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Baldwin takes on the Panthers. As it stands, Peter Warner's team is in sixth, while Upper St. Clair is in first.

The Highlanders and the Blue Devils played the closest game in the league this week, with the Highlanders eventually emerging with a 20-19 victory.
