Football Recap: Holston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Holston lost against Honaker back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cavaliers took a blow against the Tigers, falling 49-22.

When it comes to explaining why Holston lost, don't look at Dayton Parris. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards and two scores on only five carries.

Leading Honaker to victory were Parker Lowe and Tyler Hubbard. Lowe threw for 252 yards and five touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes, while Hubbard picked up 97 receiving yards and three TDs.

Holston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Honaker, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holston will take on Hurley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Honaker, they will square off against Grundy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
