Basketball Game Preview: Unity Christian Academy Warriors vs. Gramercy Christian Warriors

Unity Christian Academy are taking a road trip to challenge Gramercy Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Unity Christian Academy can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home last Thursday. They had to suffer through a 56-19 loss at the hands of Eastern Christian HomeSchool. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Meanwhile, Gramercy Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Eastern Christian HomeSchool on Thursday, taking the game 44-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Unity Christian Academy better focus on containing Kinley Butler and Emmy Cook as the pair were huge in Gramercy Christian's win. Butler shot 44% from the field to rack up 21 points and three steals, while Cook posted 11 points and three steals. Butler's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Edwards, who had four points.

Unity Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 40-4 defeat at the hands of Gramercy Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Unity Christian Academy was down 24-2.
