Soccer Game Preview: Genoa-Kingston vs. Hinckley-Big Rock + How To Watch

The Genoa-Kingston Cogs will head out to face off against the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Genoa-Kingston will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Lutheran on Monday. The Cogs were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Crusaders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Hinckley-Big Rock waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Huskers 4-1. The contest was close at halftime, but Hinckley-Big Rock turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

They hit Serena with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sawyer Smith (2), Gavin Pickert, and Luke Badal.

Genoa-Kingston's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, their win bumped their record up to 9-3-2.

Everything went Genoa-Kingston's way against Hinckley-Big Rock in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Genoa-Kingston made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
