Soccer Recap: Huguenot Comes Up Short

Huguenot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the L.C. Bird Skyhawks. Huguenot were not able to make up for their defeat to L.C. Bird from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Huguenot's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-3. As for L.C. Bird, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Huguenot will take on rival Powhatan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, L.C. Bird is set to face off against their familiar foe James River Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (L.C. Bird have won three straight at home, while James River Midlothian won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
