Baseball Recap: Stone Ridge Christian Knights vs. Denair Coyotes

Stone Ridge Christian had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-14 to make it ten. They came up short against the Denair Coyotes, falling 18-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

As for Denair, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7-1. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Denair's part, Kyle Sorensen and Thomas Lundquist made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Sorensen tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Lundquist pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
