Basketball Recap: Shelby Valley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Shelby Valley duked it out with Pikeville on Wednesday. The Shelby Valley Wildcats took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pikeville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 68-56 defeat two weeks ago.

Shelby Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Pikeville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Shelby Valley nor Pikeville have any future games scheduled.
