Football Game Preview: Ganado Indians vs. Joaquin Rams

The Ganado Indians will be playing at home against the Joaquin Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ganado is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 41-14 victory over Marlin. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 384th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ganado wouldn't let Marlin keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Bryce Ullman was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

Meanwhile, Joaquin came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 46-22 win. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly 24 points.

Ganado's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.3 points per game. As for Joaquin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

We should be in store for an exciting game as Ganado and Joaquin have no problem gaining yardage. Ganado has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 359.9 total yards per game. However, it's not like Joaquin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 438.2 total yards.
