Baseball Recap: Palmview Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmview can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Smithson Valley Rangers on Saturday. The shutout was out of character for the Lobos seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Palmview's loss dropped their record down to 26-10. As for Smithson Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-12 record this season.

Palmview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smithson Valley, they will square off against Barbers Hill on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
