Recap: Chico Panthers vs. Marysville Indians

On Friday, the Chico Panthers's game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 39-25 victory over Marysville. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Chico has scored all year.

Magnus Nielsen was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jaden Neugebauer was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five steals.

Marysville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Steven Martin, who scored two points along with five steals, and Elias Delozier who scored five points. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him.

Chico's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Marysville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Chico won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Placer at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. Placer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chico in California (Placer is ranked 42nd, while Chico is ranked 272nd).
