Volleyball Recap: Cochranton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Cochranton and Cathedral Prep squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Cochranton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Cathedral Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colette Speros led the charge by getting 20 kills and 15 digs. Speros is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Resurreccion, who had 44 assists and ten digs.

Cochranton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Cathedral Prep, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-10-1.

Cochranton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cathedral Prep, they will face off against Corry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
