Basketball Recap: Pacifica Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Pacifica posted their closest win since January 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 victory over the Esperanza Aztecs. This was a revenge game for the Mariners: when they faced off against the Aztecs back in January, they had to take a 63-45 loss.

Despite the loss, Esperanza still got an impressive performance from Alex Van Otterloo, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 22 points. Jackson Fries was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Pacifica is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Esperanza, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

Pacifica wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-34 loss against Sunny Hills on the 31st. Esperanza has also already played their next match, a 58-48 win against El Modena on the 31st.
