If Raymond Central was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Yutan on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell just short of the Douglas County West Falcon by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Izabella Lubischer paced Raymond Central's offense, picking up 19 kills. Lubischer got some help from Savannah Masek and her 36 assists. Lubischer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Peyton Niemeyer, each putting up two.

Jasmine West was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had eight digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Raymond Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Douglas County West, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.
