Basketball Recap: Traverse City Christian Comes Up Short

Traverse City Christian played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 51-16 loss at the hands of the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs. The Sabres were down 41-12 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Megan Pavwoski continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Grand Traverse Academy, going 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and eight blocks. Those eight blocks gave Pavwoski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jill Hoedel, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points.

Traverse City Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Grand Traverse Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Traverse City Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-16 loss against Kalkaska on the 17th. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-9 win against Marion on the 18th.
