It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palisade had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Thompson Valley Eagles.

Kayden Dowdy looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Hunter Howard was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Seriani, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

On Thompson Valley's side, Sam Engelland made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Garet Hendrickson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Palisade is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6-1 record this season. As for Thompson Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-8.
