Football Recap: East Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for East's offense. They were outmatched by the Alexander Spartans and fell 47-0. The Tartans just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row dating back to last season.

A big part of Alexander's win came down to the chemistry between Carter Jewell and his top target Alex Bateman. Jewell threw for 99 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes while Bateman gained 90 total yards and three touchdowns. Maxx Leppert was in the mix as well, providing Alexander with one touchdown.

East's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alexander, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

East has already played their next game (against Huntington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Alexander, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-6 win against Belpre on the 5th.
