Baseball Game Preview: Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels vs. Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks

Thomas Heyward Academy is 1-9 against Colleton Prep Academy since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the War Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Colleton Prep Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Thomas Heyward Academy, who comes in off a win.

Thomas Heyward Academy barely beat Beaufort Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rebels put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 9-2 win on Tuesday. Nine seems to be a good number for the Rebels as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Colleton Prep Academy came up short against Hilton Head Prep on Wednesday and fell 6-3. The War Hawks have struggled against the Dolphins recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The win was the third in a row for Thomas Heyward Academy, bringing their record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Colleton Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Thomas Heyward Academy suffered a grim 15-8 defeat to Colleton Prep Academy in their previous meeting on March 6th. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
