Football Recap: Benzie Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Benzie Central had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it six. They were dealt a 52-12 loss at the hands of the Kingsley Stags. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Stags are ranked 74th).

As for Kingsley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Kingsley was led to victory by Tucker Dreves and Nolan Hodges. Dreves threw for 88 yards and two TDs on only eight passes, while Hodges rushed for 18 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Benzie Central will be playing at home against Oscoda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kingsley, they will head out to square off against Cheboygan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
