Indianapolis Bishop Chatard has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 155th, while Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is ranked 21st).
Last Tuesday, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard came up short against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial and fell 65-54.
Ethan Roseman put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 27 points along with three steals. That was a full 50% of Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Colin Guy, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory earned a 59-50 win over Guerin Catholic on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory has scored all year.
The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Evan Haywood and Robert Sorensen. Haywood had a solid game and scored 14 points. Meanwhile, Sorensen did his best for the losing side, scoring 12 points.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Indianapolis Bishop Chatard hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 56.2 points per game. It's a different story for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, though, as they've been averaging only 69.5 points per game. The only thing between Indianapolis Bishop Chatard and another offensive beatdown is Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory. Will they be able to keep them contained?
