Rockingham County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Strittmatter, who rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries, and also threw for 61 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes. Strittmatter also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Cougars are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Christian Delacruz was in the mix as well, providing Rockingham County with two TDs.

Carver's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points over those games. As for Rockingham County, their record is now 3-4.
