Volleyball Recap: Palma Takes a Loss

The Palma Chieftains came up short against the Salinas Cowboys on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

While Palma had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Ariana Devers, who hit 100% for six kills and 43 assists and 18 digs. That's the most kills she has posted over her last five games.

Palma's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Salinas, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Palma will head out to face off against Aptos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salinas, they will square off against Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
