Basketball Game Preview: Space Coast Vipers vs. Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders

After both having extra time off, the Space Coast Vipers and the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Space Coast is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight games dating back to last season last Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 61-21 loss at the hands of Eau Gallie. The Vipers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.

Meanwhile, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy came up short against Sebastian River last Thursday and fell 54-43.

Defeat or not, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy got some senior leadership from Christian King and Quincy Lee. King posted 18 points, while Lee had 14 points. That was a full 41.9% of the Crusaders' points, marking the third time in a row King has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Space Coast's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
