Basketball Preview: South Hills Scorpions vs. Everman Bulldogs
South Hills is 0-8 against the Bulldogs since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Hills Scorpions will look to defend their home court against the Everman Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. South Hills comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, South Hills was the victim of a rough 45-23 loss at the hands of the Chaparrals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Everman gave their fans yet another huge win last Tuesday. They blew past Polytechnic 61-9 at home. Given Everman's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 617th, while the Parrots are ranked 1466th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Hills' loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-29. As for Everman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.
