Baseball Recap: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Jasper Wildcats
Jeffersonville lost against Jasper back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 8-7.
Ryan Crawford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. AJ Seifert was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Jeffersonville's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Jasper, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jeffersonville will head out to face off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jasper, they will venture away from home to square off against Evansville Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
