Baseball Game Preview: Taconic Thunder vs. Agawam Brownies

The Taconic Thunder will face off against the Agawam Brownies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Taconic will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Taconic barely beat Lenox Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thunder were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the Millionaires on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Millionaires: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Agawam posted their closest win since May 10, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hopkins Academy 8-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Brownies.

The win got Agawam back to even at 3-3. As for Taconic, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Taconic beat Agawam 10-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Brownies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
