Soccer Game Preview: Hunter College vs. Stuyvesant

The Hunter College Hawks will face off against the Stuyvesant Peglegs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Hunter College is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus on Monday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. The loss was Hunter College's first of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stuyvesant). They blew past Irving 8-1 on Monday. Stuyvesant have beaten Irving the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Irving has come to flipping the script.

Stuyvesant's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hunter College, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Hunter College was able to grind out a solid victory over Stuyvesant in their previous matchup on September 10th, winning 3-1. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Peglegs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
