Basketball Recap: Panorama Comes Up Short

Panorama has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 52-43 to the San Fernando Tigers on Thursday. The matchup marked the Pythons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Panorama lost, don't look at Eddie Munguia. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points and eight boards. The game was Munguia's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Sunga, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Fernando to victory, but perhaps none more so than Omar Chavez, who put up 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Robinson, who had ten points.

Panorama's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for San Fernando, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Panorama didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-48 defeat against Canoga Park on the 13th. As for San Fernando, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Vaughn at 11:30 a.m. on January 2, 2025.
