Basketball Recap: Sauk Centre Comes Up Short

Sauk Centre lost against Montevideo back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters lost 72-51 to the Montevideo Thunderhawks. The match marked the Mainstreeters' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sauk Centre's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Montevideo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Sauk Centre will challenge Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Albany knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Sauk Centre likes a good challenge. As for Montevideo, they will square off against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Montevideo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
