Basketball Recap: Central Lafourche Comes Up Short

Central Lafourche was the 61-49 winner over Destrehan when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Lafourche Trojans took a 63-45 bruising from the Destrehan Wildcats on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Wildcats are ranked 78th).

Central Lafourche has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-31 record this season. As for Destrehan, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-19.

When Central Lafourche and Destrehan next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Central Lafourche will square off against Bourgeois and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Destrehan will try to stop Hahnville's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
