Football Game Preview: Manzanola Bobcats vs. La Veta Redhawks

Manzanola is on a three-game streak of home losses, and La Veta a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Manzanola Bobcats will host the La Veta Redhawks at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Manzanola is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 32 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Bethune on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 72-7 loss at the hands of Bethune.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-6, which was the final score in La Veta's tilt against Sierra Grande on Friday.

La Veta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Manzanola, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Manzanola didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against La Veta when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Redhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
