Softball Recap: James Lick Comets vs. Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors
James Lick won the last time they faced Yerba Buena and things went their way on Friday too. The Comets blew past the Aztec Warriors 18-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 5, 2019, but that streak is no more.
Isabella Palomino was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
