Basketball Recap: West Rowan Gets the Win + How To Watch

While West Rowan's victory against Statesville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 win over the Greyhounds on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won four in a row.

West Rowan can attribute much of their success to Caleb Queen, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds. Luke Bame also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

West Rowan was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Despite the loss, Statesville still got an impressive performance from Manuel (MJ) Gladden, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. That was a full 33.9% of the Greyhounds' points, marking the fourth time in a row Gladden has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Gaither, who put up 13 points.

The win got West Rowan back to even at 3-3. As for Statesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

West Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-59 victory against East Rowan on the 9th. As for Statesville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 66-55 defeat against Pine Lake Prep on the 9th.
