Soccer Recap: Monsignor Pace Comes Up Short

Monsignor Pace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Downtown Doral Dolphins. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Dolphins are ranked 86th).

Monsignor Pace's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Downtown Doral, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3-2.

Monsignor Pace wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Archbishop Carroll on the 15th. Downtown Doral has also already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Reagan on the 10th.
