Soccer Recap: Stuyvesant Takes a Loss

Stuyvesant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus Knights. While losing is never fun, Stuyvesant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus are ranked 99th).

Stuyvesant now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stuyvesant will take on rival Graphics at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus is set to face off against their familiar foe Beacon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
